THE PROOF IS IN THE PLANTING

This morning when the dogs woke me at 6:30am I decided to make the most of it and get out in the morning sunshine and plant out the front courtyard. Last Sunday Alivicwil and I headed to Rodney’s Nursery.

We wondered around like the plant novices we are until we found some plants that both of us liked. It was pouring rain and blowing a gale and we both couldn’t stop laughing. Nor could we get up the courage to ask for assistance.

So it rained all weekend, and then I was too busy during the week, so this morning the plants finally made it into the ground. Here is the photographic evidence of my exploits.

We placed three white pots at the end to draw the eye down the courtyard. It also makes it appear wider.

I’m hoping that the climber will do just that and cover the wooden fence. Not because I don’t like it, but I would like some more privacy into the front of our house. I’ve alternated between Blueberry Ruffles and Candy Wrapper down the sides. And then finished off the end of the courtyard with three pots of another type of Lavender and more of the climber.

I’m hoping for a pink, purple and aromatic front courtyard. I think George is hoping for some quality ‘alone’ time with the new additions.

I’m going to have to go check out the nursery – I have no idea where it is, but if there’s cheap plants I’ll find it ;)
