There’s a blog hop with a difference going around at the moment and I’ve been tagged to play along by the ever fabulous Cassie of Cassandra Madge. The blog hop is designed to be never ending with each participant nominating more people to carry the touch.

The idea is to give you a peak into our creative processes by answering the following questions. I hope you enjoy a bit of a look at what I’m working on and how I approach my “creative process”.

What am I working on right now?

I feel like that should be “what am I not working on right now?”. I have a couple of projects that I would love to have finished in the next couple of weeks.

My Vintage Daydream quilt that I started as part of the Simply Retro Challenge. It’s been sitting, cut out, in a pile on my sewing room floor for the past few months just mocking me. I need to get it done so I can get it quilted and on our bed in time for summer.

I still have to finish my Midnight at the Oasis and I’m actually starting to crave working on it – which is something I haven’t felt for it in awhile. It will be good to get it out of it’s storage box and back on the design wall.

Zombie Bear Paw Halloween Quilt by Angie Wilson - GnomeAngel.com

I’m really close to finishing my Zombie Bear Paw Halloween quilt top and having it ready to go off to be quilted. It’s been a long time in the making and I’d like it out and done.

I have a couple of other things on the boil and I’m enjoying the creative freedom of just playing with fabrics and seeing how it all works out. I don’t like having a lot of stuff sitting unfinished so if I can clear my plate I’ll be a happy camper.

Brilliant answers- the inspiration section especially. I am so with you there and wrote something similar when I did the bloghop!

I think Fleetwood Mac said it best when they said “I am who I am”.

I love your thoughts about inspiration! If you’re not having fun, why do it? Thankyou so much for playing along.

I agree wholeheartedly with your inspiration answer.

I think you should never be afraid to admit that the current fashion isn’t your thing, but if it is, tell people how you were inspired by it.

Thanks for choosing me. I will try to do you proud!

I agree – I’m all for giving credit where credit is due for inspiring someone.

Nothing bugs me more then when people pass something off as their original thought/concept – there’s nothing new under the sun and you shouldn’t be afraid to give props to the person/people who helped inspire you. IMHO it smacks of insecurity if you can’t thank someone for inspiring you. /rant

Love the idea of ‘idea noise’ and blazing your own trail. Thanks for the tag, will get on it for next week. Keep creating, you make cool stuff – must be one of the ‘cool kids’

Ha! I wish. (Actually I don’t really – just want to do what I do and hopefully encourage someone else to get out there and blaze their own trail.)

Looking forward to reading your answers. 🙂
