Post Secret is “an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a postcard.” Every Sunday a collection of postcards are posted on Post Secret, and every Sunday I look for secrets I never knew I had.
Sometimes I find myself laughing and sometimes I’m moved on a fundamental level. It continues to amaze me the things that people carry with them, and how we’re not that different from one another.
The great thing about these postcards is that you don’t see the person, just the card, so you’re not able to make the same judgment calls based on social and personal biases that you would normally make. It’s a great equalizer. Who knows your worst enemy may have just mailed your very secret and you’ll never know it. It’s a great teacher for tolerance and understanding; which is definitely something we need more of in this world.

I read post secret every week. I love it and admire the people who are brave enough to share their secrets with the world, be they funny or sad.

Yep, I too admire them. I think it’s amazing. One persons idea has turned into this massive movement. I wish I could see all the secrets that he gets…
One day I’m going to send one in… just got to get a secret good enough. If only I knew if there was a second shooter in Dallas, or where Harold Holt went too or maybe whether Jeff Buckley really did go for a swim of his own accord. ;)
Thanks for stopping by again – appreciate it :)
