Hazel Hedgehog Quilt-a-Long on Using Elzabeth Hartman's Hazel Hedgehog pattern to make your own hedgehog themed quilt project.

Today is all about sharing your fabulous Hazel Hedgehog creations with everyone (and going into the running to win some prizes!). I’ve had so much fun seeing everyone’s creations and making my own and I’m really looking forward to seeing them all in one place.

I have two $25 vouchers on offer from  Gotham Quilts and Cotton Factory for the two fan favourites. All you have to do is link up you Hazel Hedgehog creation (that you’ve blogged about or you’ve posted a picture on Instagram of) and get your friends, family and countrymen to vote for. Simple, right?

Over the past four weeks I’ve been lucky enough to have some fabulous bloggers share their Hazel Hedgehog inspired projects. I’ve loved seeing them all come together and inspire others to get out there and have a go at making their own Hazel’s. It’s part of the thing I love most about the internet – the sharing and inspiring.

I’d like to say a BIG thank you to the following bloggers: Fiona @ Bendigo Lioness | Anita @ Daydreams of Quilts | Raylee @ Sunflower Quilting | Brandy @ M3 Quilts | Melissa @ Ms Midge | Tara @ Simply Crafted | Cassie @ Cassandra Madge | Kate @ Stitched with Love

Be sure to pop on over and check out their Hazel’s – promise you won’t be disappointed.

Gotham Quilts and Cotton Factory.

Now, let’s get down to business.

This is a publicly voted competition – so that means that you’ll only be able to add your link to the party from 27 February to 3 March (AEST). Once the link party closes for voting I am unable to add or edit links.

Once the link period closes you’ll come back to this post, or the post on Gotham Quilts blog, to vote.

Make sense? So, what are you waiting for? Submit that link and good luck!

  1. Thank you for hosting this QAL. I really enjoyed it. everyone’s entries are awesome.

  2. I thought I had until the end of today to link. These Hazels came out so well though! I loved doing something new! Way out of my comfort zone and I am thrilled I did it and so is my son!

  3. Fun quilt-along, and thanks for hosting, Angie! I’m sorry I didn’t have time to make my Hazel into a pillow for the link party. Although not sorry that was because I was on vacation! She will become a pillow soon enough.

  4. I swear I commented yesterday, but it appears my comment vanished into thin air. Anyway, thanks for hosting this QAL it was super fun and it seems to have inspired me to get out of my non crafting funk. So thanks again x

  5. How do I link? This morning it said 21 hours left, and it’s only 2:24pm… I just finished everything except hand stitching the binding. So bummed – I was excited for my first submission. Oh well… [content removed by GnomeAngel – link has been added to site]

    • Hi Tricia – the counter does not live update so if you had the page open for awhile it would show the count as at the time you opened it. I’ve made an exception and added your link and edited your comment to remove your link details. Good luck!

      • Oh thank you thank you! We are behind the times here on the west coast – literally – behind everyone but Hawaii it seems. Thank you so much!

    • I completely forgot about the fact that you are way ahead of me and forgot to enter my quilt! I had the best time making it though. Thanks so much for the QAL inspiration

  6. for some reason I thought the linky was only open on Friday ! should have double checked as I could have finished my hazel yesterday – oh well at least my bee blocks are up to date and now I can wait until I get some pompoms to finish hazel off with ! lots of awesome hazels already linked up !!

  7. Thanks for the fab QAL, Angie! Hazel is my first started and finished project since the birth of my 4th child. She (and you) seemed to have pulled me out of my crafting funk! So THANK YOU!

  8. Help! I’m blonde and old, so it seems linking up to my Instagram photo is beyond my bandwidth. Can anyone explain how I figure out a url for my Instagram photo? Thanks what the linking site requires, and I’m stumped. Thanks!

    • Hi Kathy – you have to view the instagram photo on your desktop (not your mobile device via the app) – if you give me your IG username, or tag me in your photo on Instagram, I can help link it here for you. 🙂

      • Thanks so much – good to know. In case it helps anyone else, I actually made it work on my iPad by typing Instagram into the line for the url.

      • Me again – turns out the fake link didn’t work, so I added new link (feel free to delete my original Kathy’s Hazel mini quilt, which is now at #15.)

  9. this is the first QAL I’ve ever participated in, and it was great motivation to accomplish something I’d been meaning to try for a while! Have loved seeing all of the Hazels appearing, though as an Aussie, think I shall rename mine to Eddie the Echidna 😉
