In the immortal words of Queen, “Don’t stop me now! Cause I’m having a good time!” (Click here to listen) The past week has been the antithesis of the week before it. I feel like I’m finally getting traction after the wheels came off things in mid-February. I wish I could bottle this feeling. I still have to catch up on the to-do list but I’m crossing more off then I’m adding and that’s a good position to be in. I’ve been working my butt off and it’s such a satisfying feeling.
I’ve been getting interviews in the can for Craft Your Blog. I had been planning to launch the podcast this month, but my impacted wisdom tooth crushed that plan so I’ve just moved it back to April. Which has been great because I found myself a sound engineer to help with the production, I now have Beth (the Community Happiness Officer) to help with things and I’ve been able to get more interviews up my sleeve so they’ll be a constant stream available. It’s all very exciting to the planner nerd in me because things are starting to really get momentum behind them.
The boys and I have been enjoying more time together because things are getting streamlined which is exactly what I wanted to happen. We’ve been doing swimming lessons to help the Little Man get ready for our upcoming trip back to Townsville. It’s been so amazing to see him learn and grow. We used to do lessons when he was around 1 but he got sick and we got busy and it fell by the wayside. I’m so determined to instil in him a love and respect of the water. Swimming is the thing I miss most about no longer living in the tropics. I’m planing on being in the water every day we’re up there and I want to be able to share that fun with him as well.
This week is going to be all about the sewing. I have 2 quilts to finish for upcoming issues of Love Patchwork & Quilting and I’m so excited about them. I wish I could share them with you right now! I’m also going to be working on a special quilt for someone very special to me and it needs to do be done quickly. I’m looking forward to spending the time in my sewing room, I’ve missed it. I hope you have a most fabulous day and a super week!
