On the weekend I went to my first ever water colour class. I loved it. Here’s what I produced:
It’s supposed to be trees in a light mist along a lakeshore.
Same image, but on cheap paper. The water colour wasn’t being asorbed at all. But I prefer my trees in this one…
This was an exercise that involved a glossy photo paper. The water colour tends to slide around and bleed on this paper. We also used a modelling plaster to add further texture. The original is then covered with another piece of paper and a mirror image is taken. It’s definitely interesting…
I was having so much fun that I decided to stick around for the art class that was on next. It was a lesson in perspective that included some charcol drawing and finished with an acrylic painting. Here’s what I did:
I won’t be quitting my day job anytime soon, but I had fun and I’ll be going back for more.
