When we went to Thailand and Singapore in 2006 I had been spoiled by cbr_girl and given a beautiful silk book “bag”. I used it to carry my travel journal in. The bag and my journal matched so beautifully, and it was such a great companion on the trip.

Now as I get ready to go abroad again I’ve started searching for my next companion. Only problem – nothing out there is really grabbing me. Here’s what I’ve found so far:

Kikki-K Travel Journal – This one seems to have all the core requirements. Some where to stash ticket stubs, pamphlets and other memento’s. But it just lacks a certain… I don’t know… longevity to it. I’m not a fan of the plastic cover. RRP A$29.95

Moleskin City Guide – As seen on NoteMaker Online – I love the idea of using a journal that Hemingway and Van Gough could have been using in the same city. I also love the idea of being able to trace out your journey over the tops of one of the maps provided. Downside – the size and inclusion of things I don’t think I would use. RRP A$36.95

There’s too many options available from pepe’s paperie, so I think I may just have to go in and have a look at what they have to offer.
