DEPART SINGAPORE

23 December 2023 we’ll board the Celebrity Millennium.
At first glance, this diamond-shaped island just off the coast of Malaysia gleams with modernism and commercialism, making it seem more Western than Eastern. But as you continue to discover the city-state, you’ll uncover the eclectic mix of cultures, religions, ancient treasures and British colonial impressions that give rise to a unique Singaporean identity. The cultural fusion is perhaps best expressed in Singapore’s unofficial language, Singlish, a unique patois of English, Chinese and Malay.

ARRIVE IN BENOA, BALI, INDONESIA

4 January 2024 our adventure ends… for now!
Bali is a bucket-list destination that’s home to some of the most breathtaking beaches in the world, rich culture and traditions, and an incredible fusion of cuisines. With vibrant reefs close to shore, snorkeling from the white-sand beaches of the south is a must-do. No cruise to Bali is complete without a visit to Tanjung Benoa Beach. It’s located just north of the busier and more developed resort areas, and the calm surf and smooth sand make it an ideal beach for families. Just down the main road, you’ll find a vibrant fishing village and plenty of chances to experience the less-traveled side of this exotic wonderland. On your cruise to Bali, be sure to catch an authentic Kecak fire dance performance. Haggle for handmade art, jewelry, carvings, fabrics, and more at the bustling markets. And visit the Pura Lahur Uluwatu, an iconic Balinese temple perched more than 800 feet above the Indian Ocean.

YES! The lovely lads at RGE Travels will help you get it all taken care of. The more the merrier!

Yes, but it’s totally worth it because the drinks package includes sodas, juices, specialty coffees and bottled water. (Bottled water is especially good for those shore excursions!)

The ship has capacity for 2,400 guests however Celebrity are currently not booking the ships at capacity. At this stage we’re assuming a capacity of 75% will be booked.

The majority of people say they can’t feel the ship at all. However, if you think you might suffer from sea sickness there are a lot of options available to combat this. RGE Travels recommends SeaBands which are available at your local chemist/drug store

Once deposit is made for the cruise, you’ll get a notification 120 days prior to the cruise to book excursions, extras, etc.

RGE Travels will provide extensive support to help you book excursions and make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime trip.

No! The sessions are only run while we’re at sea. This means you’ll have 3 days of sewing in-between shore excursion adventures.

We will provide you with details on how to access fabric purchasing opportunities while traveling with us.

The group will be around 40 people, however not all of them will be attending the quilting sessions. We’ve developed a program that allows maximum participation that offers time with the teachers to learn all you need to know.

We’re unable to predict how many solo travellers will book, but we’re prepared for it. We’ll help you match with a roommate if you’re looking for one, alternatively there’s single rooms available.

The sessions are provided at a variety of times to maximise your ability to participate in all Celebrity has to offer. Sessions will not start before 10am.

For this cruise you won’t need a machine and so they won’t be provided. One less thing for you to worry about packing for!

There are no quilting shops on board BUT we will pull together information about places you could go if you’re interested in our port stops.

Don’t worry about not having enough fabric, we know quilters and they love to share!

No. The From Marti Michell Perfect Patchwork Templates and Rulers are included in your class fee. Ange will be running a class on the templates so you can learn all about them and decide if you’d like to use them.

The pattern we’ll be working from comes with instructions for foundation paper piecing (FPP).

[CLICK HERE] to find out more about the class, including a first-look at the project we’ll be making.

The short answer is no (because we won’t have any on board). However, you could bring a hand stitch project to finish in between class times or while you’re traveling.

No, as machines will not be provided.

Yes, the pattern comes with an FPP option. However the support for FPP will be somewhat limited as neither Ange or Nic specialise in FPP. Both are proficient in it however so there will be some level of troubleshooting available.
