Crossroads Quilt-along: Family Block Revealed

The fourth block pattern in the Fat Quarter Shop Crossroad’s Quilt-along benefiting March of Dimes has been released and it’s the Family Block. I love the fun you can have with this pattern by simply changing where you put the darker fabric. I dug into some of my favourite fabrics that I’ve been hoarding.
With a few of the blocks under my belt now I’m really starting to get a sense of how the quilt will come together and while these blocks don’t look like much on their own when they’re placed beside their counterparts they’re really starting to pop. As they say in Ocean’s Eleven, “this is a long con”. The full impact of what craziness I’m up to won’t be revealed until the final blocks. In the meantime, if you’d like to make some blocks of your own the links to the free patterns and other amazing bloggers on this journey can be found below.
