“Norfolk Island’s history isn’t confined to museums or textbooks – it’s etched into the landscape, whispered through generations, and alive in daily life. From ancient Polynesian settlements to the arrival of the Bounty mutineers and the era of the British penal colony, the island’s past is a tapestry of resilience, culture, and community.”– Norfolk Island Tourism
