CRAFTY | A MOMENT IN TIME
…August was completed in August – Huzzah!…
It’s now September and so I’m having a bit of a pause and a refresh of my goals for 2013 in the crafty stakes.
My Woodland Sampler is up-to-date and I’ve just gotten the pattern for September so now I have another task to add to the list this month. I’ve also signed up to do the Frosted Pumpkin Halloween Sampler. I’m not going to start that until I finish the Woodland Sampler. Well that’s the plan – but I’m loving Halloween so I could get started on it before than if my impatience kicks in.
…Halloween Quilt is underway…
I’m still plodding along getting quilt tops completed for my “12 Quilts in a Year” challenge. Here’s where I’m at with all of them:
January – 1600 Jelly Roll Quilt – Completed
February – Swoon Quilt – Completed
March – Anna Maria Horner Feather Quilt – Completed
April – Scrap Vomit Quilt – Completed
May – Saltwater Shimmering Triangles – Underway
June – Massive Table Runner – Completed
July – Giant Star Christmas Quilt – Completed
August – Halloween Quilt – Underway
As I’ve typed that list out I’ve realised I still have to blog about some of those quilts! Will add that to the list of things to do this month!
I have 2 quilts outstanding on the list and that’s not too bad given that September I had blank, so I might just use September as my catch up month.
I’ve also been working on my Hexy MF quilt amongst all of the other quilting madness and I’ve just recently started my version of the “Midnight at the Oasis” quilt.
So there’s things happening, but I needed to just make a list of to-do’s and get back on it.
…the table runner found it’s home…
I finally managed to finish and deliver on my June Challenge for the Quarterly Challenge. This challenge item really kicked my butt, but it’s done now.
September means that I have to deliver on another project for the Challenge. This one has me translating pottery into quilting. It’s going to be fun.
I’m really excited about having a big finish for the year. I’m freeing up my time and it feels great. I love having that control back and it’s going to be a blast to have some of my favourite quilt tops completed.
Stay tuned!

I’m just impressed you have goals. My goals are sanity and sleep. Maybe I need to reassess! You’re a can-Di powerhouse. Much to admire there.
