Antique Rose Pin Cushion Tutorial

Learn to make this antique rose pin cushion with Angie Wilson of www.GnomeAngel.com.

Antique Rose Pin Cushion tutorial is my latest collaboration withย Spotlightย and I’m super chuffed at how it’s turnedย out. I must confess that when I first saw the Floral Focus and Ditzy Blender collections I was convinced that Spotlight was asking the wrong person to work with them. My normal style is definitely a little more on the modern, highly saturated, prints and colours and these prints are totally shabby chic. ย But as HUBBY said to me; “Tim Gunn it baby!” (which is code for “Make it Work”) so I pretended I was on a Project Runway challenge and I did just that. I surprised myself with how much I love this project and I’m so happy with how it turned out.

This project is really quick and you even have the ability to fussy cut the patchwork; which is always a bonus for me. You also don’t need a lot of supplies and all of them can be found at your local ย Spotlight. As an added bonus Spotlight are hosting a Quilting Expo Saturday 14 May 2016 from 11am – 3pm, taking place at allย Spotlight Stores! This means you’ll be able to pop in to pick up your supplies and take advantage of the free project sheets, discounts on quilting supplies and catch some demonstrations.

In the meantime, here’s how you make the Antique Rose Pin Cushion…ย
