Important Event Update

Due to a number of factors, the tutorials for this event will cease after Block 56. We have opted to make a smaller version of this quilt which we’re affectionately referring to as “Farmer’s Wife Delight”.

Support will continue to be provided to those making all 111 blocks via the Farmer’s Wife Facebook Group.

The prize pool will be modified to reflect the change to the event timeline. The monthly prizes will cease, as of November 2018, and a single major prize will be allocated April 30 2019.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this has caused. We run these free events to help grow and foster the creative community and it is heavily disappointing when we’re unable to deliver the events in the format we envisioned. However sometimes events occur outside our control that impact on our ability to provide these events in their original format and so we do our best to ensure that we support those that have joined us and balance the needs of our families. We thank you for your understanding.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE: Winners have 48 hours from 7:30am AEST on the date of the prize announcement (as documented below – all times/dates in AEST) to claim their prize. You must email me to claim your prize. You can either email through the site by clicking here or send me an email at hello[at]gnomeangel.com. Unclaimed prizes may be allocated to another winner at the discretion of the event host. Please do not contact the sponsor directly to claim your prize, doing so will void your winning. Please do not DM on Instagram of Facebook to claim your prize as it will disqualify you from winning. I will email all winners back within working hours (that’s 9:30am – 2:30pm Monday to Friday AEST) – please give me up to 3 working days to respond. If you haven’t heard by then, please contact me again via DM on IG of FB or email. Please don’t send me multiple messages across multiple platforms to claim your prize – you just slow the process down as I have to take time out to look at the messages to determine if it’s relevant or not.

October 2018: Alison Glass Designs

Alison Glass is a surface designer living in Virginia with her husband, daughter, and son. Aspiring to create a career for herself, Alison started a design business in 2007 focusing on space remodels and custom home decor pieces. Her love of color and shape and the combination of the two eventually lead to making the decision to step back from the local design business and work toward her goal of creating artwork for surfaces. She is thrilled for the opportunity to design fabric for Andover and work with other companies in the sewing industry. In addition to designing fabric, Alison produces a line of sewing patterns as well as a growing range of other products.

Alison is inspired by the multitude of details in the world, both natural and those made by artisans, particularly in urban architecture. She is passionate about the ideas of making choices that are consistent with who a person is, being increasingly comfortable with ambiguity, and continuing to move forward and live in the new.
