I hope you love this free quilt pattern and tutorial for the patchwork block, Bento Box. Bento Box is one of my favourite beginner friendly patchwork blocks to make because it delivers great visual impact and can be made with as little as 2 fabrics. I’m currently crushing on a colour combination that I saw on The Great British Bake Off and so I had fun hitting my fabric stash to see if I could capture that same vibrancy.

As much as I’m loving this Jill Howarth “Down the Rabbit Hole” print [CLICK HERE to purchase] with Tula Pink’s Tiny Dots I don’t think it hits quite the same note as Prue’s colour combination. Sam (of Hunter’s Design Studio) has affectionately called these my Pepto Bismal blocks – and she’s not wrong! Regardless, I still love them! 😂
