Link Love: The Walking Dead

Seriously one of the most frustrating weeks on record. My websites and email have been impacted by the move from one host to another and it wasn’t until Sunday that we finally got stability back across the board. I cannot thank the team at Lyrical Host enough for all their time, effort and hand holding through this process. Multiple emails on a daily basis back and forth and not once did they refer me to a wiki page, tell me it was a problem I needed to fix or not reply in a super quick fashion. It’s been such a welcome change from my previous host and I’ve been really appreciative of the amazing customer service during this time as I so easily could have had a major meltdown over the whole thing had someone not been there to help.

On a personal note, I’ve been really overwhelmed with the love and support that I’ve been shown in the past week and a bit as I’ve struggled to get things back online and back on track. As someone who lives and works online having your websites and emails not performing is heartbreaking. I always want to give my readers and followers the best experience possible when visiting my virtual home and to have it being so screwy and not be able to directly fix it this past week has been the absolute pits. I wanted to thank you so much for your understanding, patience and good humour during this time and let you know that things will be getting back to normal (well, my kind of normal) as of today. Tutorials for sew-alongs will be back on the blog, winners will be announced and links will work. If for any reason you find something that’s not working, please let me know. Having IT issues is so frustrating because a lot of times you don’t even know you’re having an issue until someone takes the time to send an email or direct message on social media to let you know they couldn’t access a site.

But enough about boring IT, let’s talk Fussy Cutters Club. In amongst all the madness I managed to sell all the books I have on hand (Yay!) and now I’m waiting on more to arrive (Boo!). The only downside to buying online is waiting for it to arrive. I hate it and my postman hates when I’m waiting for something and constantly ambushing him at the mailbox. So, to sweeten the deal for those of you that want the book but hate the wait I’m giving one lucky person who pre-orders before 6 November the chance to win their 1kg bag filled with the book bundle and exclusive loot from Quilt Market (including yet-to-be-released fabric). That’s not all, 10 lucky swappers will win a copy of the book as well. All you have to do is sign up to the swap before it closes and you go in the draw to win. That’s insane, right. So many winners, so little time. Don’t forget there’s also bloggers giving away copies of the book, you can find out more about how you can win from the bloggers by clicking here.

As well as all things Fussy Cutters Club I’ve got an announcement coming this week about two big sew-along events coming in 2018 and you won’t want to miss it. Next week Kristy and I head to Houston for a whirlwind visit. I’m just at that tipping point between being really excited about going and freaking out about all the things I need to have done before I fly out. It’s a seriously crazy time. In the meantime, I’d better get off this computer on which I have spent way too much time in the past week and jump over to the sewing machine and make sure I’ve got everything ready for while I’m away. Wishing you a fabulous day filled with love, laughter and fabric fondling.

PS. Don’t forget Amitie Textiles (Jen Kingwell’s shop) are offering 15% off your order. Just use GNOME15 at checkout. Click here to visit.
