1. How did you come to be a quilter?
I started quilting about 24 years ago when we lived at Roxby Downs, in far north SA. I started by learning hand stitching my quilts together, the librarian was a quilter and started a group there which I joined. I will admit I am a slow quilter!!!

2. What is it that you love about being a quilter?
I love the fabric, and the fact that you can have one pattern but it can be done in many different colours and techniques so it gives you a different quilt every time. And the camaraderie and friendship amongst quilters. Since Iโve joined Instagram I have โmetโ so many quilters itโs amazing and I have learnt so much.
3. Whatโs your 3 favourite quilts that youโve made that reflect who you are as a quilter?
My flannel mystery quilt, the black & white quilt I made for my sonโs wedding and a cot quilt all hand sewn which is my first quilt.

1. How did you come to be a quilter?
We had moved to an extremely remote town in Western Australia for the husband’s work and I was bored, really really bored, so I signed up to do a beginners quilting class and the rest is history. I was hooked and the husband was regretting his encouragement.
2. What is it that you love about being a quilter?
I love everything, the patterns, fabrics, the pleasure of finishing that flimsy that has driven me crazy, the friendships with kindred spirits and the shopping (I LOVE the shopping) the actual quilting part not that much.

3. Whatโs your 3 favourite quilts that youโve made that reflect who you are as a quilter?
Kaleidoscope Hexagons, I found the pattern in a PS in Tasmania, had the PERFECT fabric here so I was sold, hand and machine piecing, machine quilted.
Baby Pies and Tarts was my first foray into the world of EPP (English Paper Piecing), I stated it in 2009 and finally finished my baby version in 2012, Hand pieced, machine quilted.
Summer Stomping Ground was a kit I bought from the Fat Quarter Shop in 2010 started in 2011 and finished it in 2012, machine pieced and machine quilted.
