Quilt Block Journal Printables

With the Farmer’s Wife 1930’s Sampler Quilt Sew-along just under a week away (8 days to be exact) I’ve conquered a fear and made my own printables to help record my journey making this quilt. The printables are a digital download so that you can print them at home on your printer or take them into your local print shop and have them printed for you. I’m planning on filling mine out and then storing them in my display folder as I work. (Not sure what a display folder is and how it’ll help you get organised for the sew-along then click here to see how I’m organising myself.)
I was thinking that at the end I’ll get them covered and bound and it’ll be a lovely memory to have of the process, written in my own handwriting. It, as well as the quilt, can be passed down to the next generation of quilt makers I’m planning on cultivating.
I’ve done up a number of designs and have plans for moreย so if there’s something you’d like included or a theme you’d like covered, let me know.ย I’m selling them for US$2 a download to help coverย my fabric addiction (and running the sew-along).

I’ve even made a meadow themed one for my upcoming Meadow Quilt class with Lizzy House in Sydney. It’s so pretty and soft and I can’t wait to record my class notes on it.

I was so nervous putting these up for sale because I always suffer from the worst kind of self doubt when it comes to charging people for something I’ve made, but I’m really happy with how these have come together and I’m hoping you’ll love them as much as I do.

I’ve got a list of seasonal themes to make and layout options to provide. I swear, sometimes I wish I’d known what graphic design was when I was at school and that it was a career option. I would have had so much fun. I guess it’s never too late, I should see if I can clear some time in my schedule for more study.

If you use the block journals I’d love to see them, just snap a photo and share it with me on Facebook, Instagram or Email Me.
