SPONSORED | DYMO IN MY HAND (& YOURS!)
I’m an organizational freak, and I’m ok with that. I’m the kind of person who likes to watch Horders because I get excited about seeing how they turn the mess into beautiful organized heaven. *le sigh*
So when Dymo asked me if I wanted to test out their DYMO LetraTag how could I refuse? (That’s a trick question – I didn’t even pause to think about it, I saw label organized nirvana within my grasp and I jumped at the chance! JUMPED!!! Like David Lee Roth jumped!)
Now I could show you how I used theย DYMO LetraTag to label our spice jars, or how I used it to label the shoe boxes I have all of our bits and pieces stored in or even how I used it to label the calendar with all of our important dates, but you all know about those uses for a label maker.
(You even know about using it to address parcels so that the postman doesn’t get confused over whether you’re zero is a six , right? Or when you use it as an alternative to gift tags at Christmas time because you forgot to buy gift tags.ย Or as a ransom note maker for when you take your Husband’s golf clubs hostage until he mows the yard.ย You know all about those uses, yeah?)
Today I thought I’d share with you the top 3 reasons why I love the DYMO LetraTag…
My favourite pair of scissors.ย I love these scissors, they’re sharp, they have a great point to them and I can take them everywhere with me (except on a plane!) so they’re great for cross stitching and paper piecing on the go.ย These scissors are also a magnet for other people to ask to use them.
No problem, I like to share.ย But I also like to get them returned to me.ย For a long time I’ve used my trusty skull and crossbone bandaid to distinguish my scissors from the unwashed masses.ย Only problem, my bandaid has worn down and now it’s broken and coming off. *cry*
I don’t have any more bandaids… but what I do have is a Dymo LetraTag!
I used my trustyย Dymo LetraTag to print out my name on their white LetraTag tape. Problem solved! Now they’ve got my name on them!ย Not only that, but my name is in big clear letters so it will be easy for me to claim ownership of my precious when they go walkabout.
Number 2:
I’m doing a couple of quilting day courses this year (thank you Mother’s Day and Birthday!) and I have to take my supplies with me which includes my rulers.
Everyone’s rulers look the same.ย They’re big, they’re neon and they have numbers on them.ย But not mine… mine now have my name on them!
With the Dymo LetraTag’s clear tape I was able to stick my name on my rulers and not obscure the markings. Genius!
Not only are my rulers now clearly labeled as mine theย Dymo LetraTag clear tape helps me distinguish which is the right side up.ย All I have to do is run my hand over the ruler and if I feelย Dymo LetraTag clear tape that’s the side that needs to be facing up. Awesome! (I’m so bad at putting it wrong side down and then having to turn it over and around to be able to work out where I need to cut – so frustrating!)
But the Number 1 reason to love the Dymo LetraTag:
Drinking! You’re going to love this idea… trust me. You know how you can now buy those annoying little charms to put around the stem of your wine glass? Well I’ve come up with a stylish and easy way to add some fun to your glass wear, coordinate your party themes and still tell who’s glass is who’s.ย And unlike the wine glass charms you don’t have to spend the night trying to remember which charm you got – you just have to remember your name… are you ready for it???
WASHI TAPE + LABEL MAKER = AWESOME!
I got out my favourite washi tape, printed out my name on the Dymo LetraTag’s clear tape and put that over the washi tape and then stuck it to my glass!
Genius, right?!?!?
Not only does it clearly label the glass as yours, it also doesn’t leave any glue residue on your glass and it’s fully customizable.ย You can use any washi tape you like and just print out your guests name and bingo! No one’s getting drunk and forgetting they’re a blue gemed mermaid and drinking Aunt Mavis’s wine cooler!
Your mind is blown, right? Well it’s time to clutch those pearls again because I have something even more mind blowing to share with you…

Love this article, would have loved to have entered but I already have one, we spent the first day labelling absolutely everything we possibly could.
I would label all my tupperware, I have had no luck stopping my husband fromtaking them to work, but please, can they find their way home when I put these great labels on them!
Oh Kim, you’re singing my song. Why can they never return??? Great idea! Good luck!
I agree heaven
I’m glad I’m not alone in thinking this is heaven ๐
What can I say? The article is brilliantly written, keep up the good work.
Thanks Dymo Support!
Organising my pantry so I know exactly whats in every container without having to open it
I hear you! The amount of times I have to open all my tins to find out where I’ve stashed something boring (because I know exactly which tin has the biscuits in it!). Great idea! Good luck!
How cool! I love this! The washi tape idea is brilliant. I know miss s would love this too xx
It’s great because you can use it for anything that you can stick washi too! Would be perfect to leave love notes in the kids lunches or even just to jazz up your storage boxes – the uses are limitless!
Oh my goodness….. I don’t know where to start! I would be labelling the you know what out of everything from stuff in the pantry, to the kids rooms, and don’t even get me started on my craft room!
Every time I look at the label maker I’m reminded of the Simpson’s episode where Bart gets a label maker and labels EVERYTHING. I’m the same – I went label nuts!
You are an inspiration – washi tape + those lovely neat labels may well be organising heaven! I’m not entering – husband gave me a label maker a few years ago for Christmas – but did want to express my awe at this fab idea ๐
Thanks Leah – I thought it was quite genius as well. It’s also great for just jazzing up your normal labeling requirements as well. Make the tupperware look even prettier! ๐
