Link Love: Cute Things to Make & a Reading Challenge

A highlight reel of what's going on in my life and a collection of useful links and information for the creatives amongst us - Angie Wilson at www.gnomeangel.com

I’m really loving the start to this year. December was so laid back and just really enjoyable to do nothing but spend time together as a family (something we haven’t done in ages) that it’s set me up for such a lovely slow and relaxed month. The Little Man and I have been enjoying time in the kitchen together baking up a storm and playing and painting and just enjoying hanging out together. I’ve been sewing, but not in a mad rush like I was before the end of the year. I’m seriously thinking that I might need to do a month off recharge every six months.

HUBBY is adjusting to life in Boston, just in time to turn around and come back to Australia. I have a whole new appreciation for families that do big chunks of time apart and single parents. There’s nothing like a bit of absence to make you appreciate everything you have together. It’s also been interesting to see how the household chores have become an enjoyable part of my routine. Before HUBBY left we did a massive clean of the house and I’m determined to keep it this way for as long as possible.

I’m reading a little bit more than usual as well and I’ve really enjoyed the light and fluffy Blue Heron Series by Kristan Higgins. (The first book in the series is Best Man, click here to purchase.) It’s been ages since I’ve really managed to find reading a pleasure and I’m so glad to have it back. I’m also really loving seeing all the images popping up on Instagram for Kid Giddy’s Sew Prompted weekly challenge (click here to find out more about it).

Well, time waits for no gnome and I need to get on with the daily chores and spending some quality time with the Little Man, so I’m going to wish you a fabulous day and run off to feed the dog. Have a fabulous day!
