Crazy Anne Block for Jen Kingwell’s Gypsy Wife Quilt Sew-along

Crazy Anne is the block of choice for this week in the Jen Kingwell’s Gypsy Wife Quilt Sew-along. Fussy cutting this block while doing Foundation Paper Piecing was a bit tricky with this block and while it’s not perfect I’m quietly happy with how it’s turned out. The rabbit comets from Luna Sol really add movement to this block (it’s like a spinning firecracker). This week I used the foundation paper pieced pattern (link below) to make this block and I’m grateful for the assistance.

Remember if you’re using these FPP patterns you need toย print them at 100% – I’ve had a number of contacts from people letting me know that the pattern was not the right size only to work out that it wasn’t printed to scale. The block size in the pattern is recorded at finished size, so when you print the pattern you can measure the outer edge (thick dark line, not the seam allowance line) of the pattern to confirm it measures correctly.

If youโ€™re new to Foundational Paper Piecing then check out my tutorial on how to foundation paper piece.ย Click here to read more.

That’s everything… for now… as always if you have any questions either drop me a line or leave a comment below and I’ll do my best to help you out. I hope you love making this quilt as much as I have, it’s such a fun way to make a unique sampler.
