CRAFTY | FEBRUARY IS DONE!

I’m ashamed to say that it’s now June and I’ve only just finished February! But at least it’s finished!

With the Scrap Vomit and Feathers quilts out of the way a little bit of the pressure was removed and I felt like I was able to concentrate on my Woodland Sampler for some much needed distraction and fun.

I’ve really enjoyed just sitting on the couch in the evenings stitching away while the boys play together before Little Man’s bed time.  Once he’s bathed and in bed I’m enjoying sitting and stitching with HUBBY.  It’s nice to be able to do something in the same room as the rest of the family.  (As much as I love sewing it can be a little isolating!)

Once I found my groove everything but the background seemed to come together really quickly.  The background on the other hand just seemed to drag. So I decided to do what I always do when I’m struggling to finish a task; I used a reward system.

I would stitch a couple of rows of background and then I rewarded myself by stitching some of March.  It was like a little game.  I’d stitch what I had to and then excitedly go off and stitch some of March.

I’m so happy to have February done and to be back in the stitching groove – I just wish I could spend more time doing it in one sitting.  Oh well, there’s worse problems to have. *wink*
