CREATIVE SPACE | RAINBOW IN MY POCKET

Last week I shared my yarn purchasing and the beginnings of my latest crochet project. Well this week I’ve got a little more to share. I’m currently working on the middle stripe of my first colour set and I’m loving it. The pattern is so easy to follow and I’m really crushing on being able to just chill out in front of the television and cruise through a couple of lines at a time.
I don’t think I’d actually grasped just how big this blanket is going to be. As it is HUBBY and I can sit beside each other on the couch and have it comfortably covering both of us (in a thin strip). It’s going to be a great size when it’s done.
I’m already starting to think about how the border is going to be applied when it’s done. I’ve not done a border before so I’m a little nervous about that, but I guess I’ll just cross the bridge when I get to it.

You should totally give it a go. Meet Me at Mikes has some wonderful tutorials and it is SO easy to do. I’m hopeless when it comes to having to be coordinated and I can do it, so I have no doubts that you could do it as well!

I’m so glad you had posted about this – I ended up buying yarn last night to do one of those afghans as well. I just fell in love with the idea of having my own rainbow to wrap around me 😀

I’m a sucker for a rainbow so I suspect this is going to be one of my favourite snuggle blankets when it’s done.
Stunning colours and yes, it’s the time of year to find a comfy spot on the couch a good show on TV (not too absorbing as you have to check your crochet now and then)

I have just started my first crocheted rug and it’s totally addictive. Just hope ‘Spotters’ have a wool sale soon as I need some more supplies, hehehe.

The Oscars were brilliant for plowing through a chunk of it. Only problem I’ve noticed in two places where I’ve put an extra treble and then later on missed one. I’m calling them my “OMG she’s wearing that!” clusters. 😉
Do you have photos up anywhere? I remember reading that they were having 30% off yarn at the moment. What would we do with out Spotlight?

Oh wow, I’ve been thinking about other colour combinations. I’m already planning my next one. I love the pattern, it’s so easy and quick. I’m yet to finish a crocheting project I’ve started so I’m hoping this will break with that “tradition”.
