Link Love: Cute Valentine’s Projects

HUBBY is home! I should really just stop there and go back to enjoying the fact that our little family is back together, but you know me, I’m a sucker for the internet. I have a new appreciation for families that spend periods of time apart and single parents. I’d love to say I sailed through the 4 weeks with nothing but style and grace, but I’d be lying. I think I’ve cried more in the past month then I have in the past 5 years. I knew HUBBY was a major part of our household, but I think I had really underestimated just how much comfort and security I gained by just having him around. Now he’s home I don’t think I’ll be saying yes to him heading off anywhere any time soon!
It’s a new month, which is both fabulous and a little sad – time moves too fast! It’s a short month and it’s already jam packed full of things. I have a major book deadline approaching so I’m freaking out a little about all the things that I have yet to write and make. (Nothing like leaving it all to the last minute!) February is the month of Love (so it’s a good thing HUBBY is home!) and there’s so many fabulous tutorials, patterns and ideas flowing around the internet at the moment. I’m looking forward to sharing some of them with you all and even adding to them.
I’m having fun playing with my new Erin Condren Life Planner despite the mocking from my Husband (something about spending as much time actually doing the tasks as I do on making my planner look pretty). It’s so nice to be able to see what I have coming up, what I’ve been doing and what I dream of all in one place. I’m also enjoying using it to record little snippets of what our Son has said or done. Having it all in one place means I don’t have to remember to do it at the end of the day as I’m in my planner all day so I just do it as it happens. (If you’re looking for a planner you can use this link to save $10 off your order with Erin Condren!)
I’m also loving being back in the habit of using my Five Minute Journal. I find myself during the day thinking about what I’ll be writing and what my 3 goals were to having a great day. I wouldn’t have thought I’d be a big believer in using a journal of this type, but I love it. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a positive way to change your attitude and have a better day.
Speaking of having a better day, I’d better get moving. I hope you have an amazing Monday!
