Link Love: Sew Like the Wind
Welcome to June! I can’t believe it’s June already, May seemed to go by in the blink of an eye! June is going to be MASSIVE! #100Days100Blocks2019 kicks off 1 July and I’m frantically trying to sew and photograph blocks. Not to mention I’ve got appearances at local stores (see details below) this month to help people get ready for sewing their own versions of Kinship: 100 Block Fusion Sampler. I’m also doing a destash, so if you’re in the Canberra region be sure to come along and check it out! (Details below.)
Winter has officially started and it looks like the lad and I have finally kicked those coughs. Now we’re both just getting a little niggling cough when we hit the cold. I think it’s going to be a particularly cold and cruel winter this year. Makes me appreciate all the blessings we have, like central heating, warm water, hearty meals and family cuddles.
This post is jam packed full of information today so be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to check everything out. I’d hate for you to miss out on some bargains, important information or booking one of the last places at Camp Sewcial! Wishing you a week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!

I will be appearing at the following stores in June to help inspire, encourage and help you pull together your supplies for #100Days100Blocks2019:
- Thursday 20 June @ 6:30pm – Hobbysew Belconnen. Call (02) 6253 0011 to book your spot.
- Friday 21 June @ 5:30pm – Addicted 2 Fabric. Call (02) 6282 4494 to book your spot.
I’ll be demonstrating the range of templates and rulers by From Marti Michell Perfect Patchwork Templates and Rulers. I’ll also have a collection of quilts made from Kinship: 100 Block Fusion Sampler blocks so you can get up close and personal with the blocks and see scale, ask questions about fabric choices and much more. Nibbles will be provided at both events and I’ll be giving away prizes to those that attend. RSVPing is essential. โ

Canberra Quilters are hosting a destash sale on Saturday 8 June, 1:30pm – 3:30pm, at the Cook Community Hub and I’ll be there selling fabrics, books, patterns and more! โI’ll have EFTPOS facilities, but you may want to bring cash if you want to purchase off other tables. The event is free to attend and you don’t have to be a member of Canberra Quilters to purchase from the sellers.

We’ve been blown away by the response to our first quilting retreat: Camp Sewcial. If you’re thinking about coming don’t wait to secure your spot. We’d hate for you to miss out! Find out more by clicking here.
If you’d like to book a ticket, but the payment plan options don’t work for you simply reply to this email and let me know and we’ll see if we can work out a personalised payment plan for you.
If you’re looking for another incentive to book, both Raylee and I are heading to Fallย Quilt Market this year and that means we’ll be bringing back lots of yet-to-be-released fabric bundles for campers to see, fondle and win! We’ll also be picking up some exclusive inclusion to the campers welcome bags from some of our favourite designers, businesses and creatives!
