MEET THE QUILTING MILL
5. What are you most proud of from your quilting experience?
I’d have to say that I’m really proud of how far I’ve come. Even in the last year or so I’ve really challenged myself more with the actual quilting part, and I’ve improved a lot in that area. It’s my favourite.
6. What’s the one piece of advice about quilting that all new quilters should know?
Just one? Sorry, can’t choose just one.
It’s so fun!

Don’t worry about having a stash just for the sake of having a stash. Buy what you love and what you will use. Unless you’re the type that loves to pull from your stash.
Some rules don’t matter, but some do. An accurate ¼” seam allowance really makes a difference, as does making and applying borders correctly so they don’t stretch. Wavy borders are really tricky to quilt.

Wowee, what eye candy! I’m always in awe of people who can quilt like this – it’s just amazing.
And the bacon quilt – that there is a work of art. The men of the world salute you, Barbie!
