What do the Muppets, Rainbows & Aprons have in common?

Can you believe that May is nearly over? This month has just flown by and I’m sitting here thinking that I haven’t gotten that much done and I still have so much more to do. Do you ever feel like that, or am I the only one?
I’m very excited to announce that my Handmade by Emily Kona Club Blogger Bundle is now available and it’s so berry good. I had such a hard time picking only 5 colours from the amazing variety that Robert Kaufman offer but in the end I went with a bundle of five colours that I always include in my stash as either solids or within my favourite prints; Regal, Berry, Morning Glory, Sangria and Honeysuckle. These fabrics are perfectly complemented by my Aussie Aurifil Club Blogger Bundle “Berry Gnomey”.
Emily is offering a special deal for those of you that sign up this month, simply use the coupon code “GNOMEANGEL” at checkout and you’ll receive a 10% off your first month and if you stay signed up you’ll get a free mystery fat eight in your 3rd month’s bundle. How’s that for awesome?!
If you’re not sure how these colours will play together you’re in luck, I’ve used them in the block I designed for this month’s Designer Block as part of The Bee Hive being held by Alyce (of Blossom Heart Quilts). I’m totally crushing on half square triangles and my block, “Ripples”, is a perfect reflection of that. The block’s finished size is 12″ and it makes a great secondary pattern when they all come together. You can get the tutorial on how to make the block today over at Blossom Heart Quilts.
I wanted to thank those of you that took the time to complete my survey for me. It was so overwhelmingly amazing and I can’t thank you enough. I got some great feedback (I’ll be looking at fixing or even nixing the pop-up) and I’m really excited about working on giving you an even more enjoyable reading experience. I’m always open to hearing constructive feedback so if there’s something you’d like to share you can always contact meย anytime you’d like to.
I’ve got some exciting news to announce this week and I’m bursting to share it with you, but I have to wait just a couple more days. If you’re like me and can’t keep a secret to save yourself thenย click here for a little teaser of what’s to come.
I’veย not been doing as much sewing as I’d like to at the moment (the return to my day job has been cramping my style) but I’m slowly finding my feet and I’m looking forward to working on my version of the Smitten quilt some more over the weekend and getting my last 2 swap pieces finished and in the post. (Someone remind me when I see the next funย swap on Instagram that I do not want to be in any more swaps this year!)
So that’s what I’m up to this week, how about you? I hope you have a fabulous week filled with lots of creative fun!

Totally psyched about that Muppet video! LOL! I love your Ripples block too! There are so many blocks from the Bee Hive that I want to make into quilts!
Thanks Anita. I’m totally hanging for The Muppets – I’m so glad they’ve done an “adult” reboot. I know! I’m in the process of blowing this block up and writing a pattern for a bigger version. I want to make one for myself!
