Link Love: Ticking the Bucket List

Something monumental happened in our house last week and I can’t share it with the littlest member of our family, so I’m sharing it here. WE’RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND! I’m so excited! We were supposed to go a couple of years ago but I got ill and things conspired and we couldn’t swing it. But not this year, this year (God willing!) we’ll be heading to Disneyland straight from Fall Quilt Market. 

Not only will we be at Disneyland, we’ll be at Halloween Themed Disneyland. It’s like 2 of my biggest funnest things got together to make me extra happy. We’ll even be there *on* the 31st October so we’re going to the Halloween party. *squee* Hubby is super excited about all the new Star Wars things he can do there and I’m even more excited to see him and the Little Man share that together. 

I spent nearly all day on Saturday watching Youtube videos about Disneyland and how to make the most of the time there. I cannot wait! I’ve already warned Hubs that I’ll be wearing my Mickey ears non-stop for the next 6 months at least! (If you come to Camp Sewcial you’ll even get to see me in them!) It’s been such a massive blessing to be able to afford to go and to be able to go as a family. I’m so thankful to the Lord for letting us do this. 

To think, this time last year the only thing I was looking forward to in October was a colonoscopy and hysterectomy! My how life changes… it’s also not lost on me how fortunate we are to be able to do this. I know that there’s lots of families out there that would love to be able to go, or have a holiday, or even just have the ability to choose how they spend their time. I’ve been saying lots of thank you prayers all year, but I’ve been extra humbled this week and thankful for the love and grace I’ve been given.
