Link Love: Wash Your Hands
Did you miss me? I’m sorry this week’s newsletter is a little late. It’s been a week. Last week Hubby’s contract was terminated 2 months early as part of departmental budget cuts and he finished up on Friday. We then took our car in to be assessed as part of the insurance claim from the January 20 hail storm and they wrote it off. Just like that our car was gone. But the thing that’s really pushed me over the edge… our toaster shorted! The kiddo decided to see what would happen if he squirted liquid soap into it while it was sitting on the bench. My poor toaster!
Despite all the madness, I’m still smiling. The Lord has a plan and I’m reminded of the wise words of Job, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” (Job 1:21) We have been so well looked after by the Lord in all these things. Hubby will find work again (he has a job interview this week), we had insurance so we’ll be able to replace our car and the toaster wasn’t turned on when the little scientist in our midst launched his experiment. Two years ago when Hubby suddenly lost his job and I was 2 weeks out from very expensive surgery I was a mess. I was lost and relying on myself to pull myself up and out of the situation. It was horrible and I was so very unhappy. Two years on I have faith and confidence that whatever comes we will be looked after and I am so thankful to the Lord for that.
In amongst all of the noise I’ve managed to knuckle down and make something happen that I’ve been trying to make happen for awhile now: video tutorials! Thanks to Hubby I’ve not got a handy little stand that allows me to film my cutting mat and show you how I do things. I’ve shared the details about my first video below. I’m excited for all the possibilities this now opens up. I’ve also had to teach myself how to make videos, which has been a challenge. But I’m getting there and I’m enjoying it.
Anyways, I’m already late this week no need to compound it by blathering on. I hope you have a fabulous week! Wishing you a fabulous week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!

If you want to make them in any other size you’ll need to work in metric! *wink* Well not any more!
