Link Love: Crossing Things off the List

It’s a public holiday here in Canberra and that means both the boys are home for the day – woot! woot! Sunday also saw the start of daylight savings which means that my favourite time of year has started. I love this transition from winter into spring where the days are suddenly lighter for longer. There’s something so wonderful about being in the house when it’s all quiet and the day is bright and bold.

We officially have 2 weeks left until we go and the panic sewing has kicked in. I have a half dozen dresses cut that need to be assembled, plus 4 shirts each for the boys, a Noodlehead bag and zipper pouches to sew. Not to mention all the work related sewing and writing that still needs to happen. I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t already had a panic attack about all that I want to do before I go and how much time is left to make it happen. It’s times like this I wish I had the number for those cobblers elves! 

Last week we went to the Canberra Theatre to see Andy’s Amazing Adventures. It was such a fun thing to do. Hubby met us at the Theatre and we all had this little outing together in the middle of the work day. There’s something intoxicating about being in a theatre filled with excited little kids. It reminded me that as adults we need to be more excited about the simple pleasures in life. 

For now though, I’m off to spend some quality time with my sewing machine! Wishing you a fabulous week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!
