LIEBSTER AWARD 2014

Questions from Rosemarie at Travel and Beyond
1. Why do you blog?
For the connections. I don’t mean the material connections, I mean connecting with people. Sharing experiences and lessons. Some of the hardest moments of my life were made a thousand times better by the people that I’d connected to through my blog.
2. What motivates you to keep your blog running?
In March I decided to take my blog to the next level and turn it from a personal journal that I kept as a hobby to a business. The goal of turning it into a successful business and seeing the community that I love grow around that is what keeps me motivated. I love connecting with people, I love sharing what’s inspiring me creatively and I adore being a part of the blogging community.
3. What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who just take without giving. I love helping people – love it – but I really struggle with people who are all about themselves and take without giving back. And I don’t mean in the literal sense of giving directly back to me (although it’s always nice when you help someone out and then they help you out later on when you’re struggling) but people how just go through life putting themselves first in every situation.ย Nothing is a bigger turn off when you only ever hear from someone when they want something from you…
4. Where are you dying to travel to?
I’m really surprised by this, but New York. I’ve become a little bit obsessed about it lately. I never used to want to go (too many people) but now I really want to go and see it.
5. What is your favourite day of the week and why?
Friday, it’s the start of the weekend which means the boys and I will have at least 2 days together to just do our own thing.
6. Do you have a โlift-me-upโ dessert when youโve had a crappy day?
Anything chocolate… seriously, I’d mainline the stuff if I could. Oh, and cake… I freaking love cake!

7. Who do you look up to and why?
Anyone who’s out there chasing their dreams down. It’s hard work believing in yourself and the people that do that I really admire.
8. What is your favourite TV series right now?
Manhattan Love Story – I’m really digging it and I can’t wait to see how it plays out. I’m also really loving Forever.
9. Do you have a favourite restaurant that serves meals under $10?
Edgar’s Inn – I’m pretty sure you can get a big bowl of their awesome fries for under $10. Fries are a meal, right?
10. Do you have any travel recommendations for me within Australia?
Outback Queensland – it’s unlike any other place in Australia. The people are lovely, the countryside is amazing (the colours alone are enough to make you happy) and it’s part of the country that’s often overlooked.

3 Liebster award nominations and you answered all of our questions! Thank you for taking the time and itโs great to know a little more about you โบ
Wow Angie! You have so many nominations! Loved reading your answers and I’m going to google Edgar’s Inn right now! I too never thought I would visit NYC as it was on the last spot on my wish list but I’m glad I did go cause it was a unique experience especially with how blatantly obvious the demeanour of people in NY are as compared to those just across the Hudson.
I’m so psyched you put me down at #8 because that’s totally my lucky number, must be a sign, right? It was so nice reading through your answers and getting to know a bit more about you. Thank you for the tag!
Ah love fart jokes. You can take the girl out of Queensland… ๐
