LIEBSTER AWARD 2014

In the past few months I’ve been nominated by some really lovely bloggers for the Liebster Award. It’s always so lovely to have fellow bloggers share you with their readers and I’m really proud of being thought of by Shari, April, Claudia and Rosemarie.
So how does the Liebster Award work? You get nominated by your peers. You read 10 questions they had to answer by the person who nominated them. You then answer 10 questions put to you by your nominator followed by 10 questions you put forward to the 10 people you choose to nominate. Yup, it pretty much works like a chain letter award nomination! It is rather fun! So here it goes:

Questions from Shari at Good Food Week
1. Why did you start your blog?
I moved towns and it seemed like a good way to keep a journal of everything that was going on in my world. One of the best decisions I ever made.
2. What makes you smile?
Fart jokes. I’m a simple girl. Heaps of things make me smile – these days though the number one spot goes to the boys. Every day they do something that just cracks me up. Oh, and this made me laugh so hard when I first saw it..

3. Do you like a home cooked meal or do you prefer to go out to a restaurant?
These days I dream of going out for a nice meal with just the husband. But the reality is I’d give it all up for a home cooked meal with my folks and my boys.
4. Did you attend the #PBEvent? And if you didn’t did you follow it on social media?
Nope. I’m kind of bummed I didn’t go, but that’s what next year is for.
5. Who is your favourite person to follow on Instagram?
Oh man, this ones hard and I think I’m going to have to plead the fifth. There’s just so many amazing people on Instagram – and it’s not just about the photos. I find the Instagram community so embracing, supportive and just downright awesome. If you’re not on Instagram, you need to be.
6. What accomplishment are you most proud of?
My little family. We worked really hard to get where we are and we continue to work hard to life the life we dreamed.
7. What would your theme song be?
I used to think it would be “Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson, but these days I’m thinking it’s more likely to be “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.
8. If you had to eat a vegetable everyday for the rest of your life, what vegetable would it be? And what would be the top five recipes that you would make with that vegetable?
Oh this ones an easy one – potato! French fries, potato bake, roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes and potato scallops. Based on this my expected life span would be about a nano-second before the saturated fats got to me.
9. If you could be one Australian blogger, who would you be?
I think I’d choose to be me, although being Fat Mum Slim would be tempting. But seriously, just be who you are because there’s no one else out there quite like you and that’s where all the fun is at.
10. Do you think I am going to have a boy or a girl this time around? Why?
Let the records show that I commented on the nomination post and picked a boy and Shari has since had the most adorable son.

3 Liebster award nominations and you answered all of our questions! Thank you for taking the time and it’s great to know a little more about you ☺
Wow Angie! You have so many nominations! Loved reading your answers and I’m going to google Edgar’s Inn right now! I too never thought I would visit NYC as it was on the last spot on my wish list but I’m glad I did go cause it was a unique experience especially with how blatantly obvious the demeanour of people in NY are as compared to those just across the Hudson.
I’m so psyched you put me down at #8 because that’s totally my lucky number, must be a sign, right? It was so nice reading through your answers and getting to know a bit more about you. Thank you for the tag!
Ah love fart jokes. You can take the girl out of Queensland… 🙂
