Link Love: Crushing List of To Do’s
I don’t know about you, but I’m totally not ready for it to be December. There’s only 3 weeks of the school year left which means I only have 3 weeks to get everything ready for kicking off in 2020. I confess I’m doing the kermit flailing arms at the moment. I have everything written out in a big to-do list and I’m prioritising and saying no all over the place. I feel like our school has left all it’s fundraising endeavours to the last term and it’s a lot.
I’ve been carving out time to sew this past week as I have a new 100 block sampler, “Make the Cut”, opening up for pre-order very soon and I’m in the testing phase of development. It’ll be out in February 2020, with the #MaketheCut2020 sew-along kicking off 1 March. This sampler is really special to me. I designed it back in 2017 when I was going through some big medical issues and life just felt so out of control so it’s really special to see it all coming together ready for release into the wild. It’s a 6″ x 6″ block sampler and it feels weird to be back working with the smaller size blocks after working on 8″ x 8″ blocks for Kinship. Sewing the blocks has given me back some of the creative spark that I felt was missing for awhile this year. I’d forgotten how much I love fussy cutting and playing with fabrics.
Anyways, sitting here writing my little love note to you isn’t getting things crossed off my list no matter how much I enjoy it. I’d better get on with work and I hope you have a super productive day today too. Wishing you have a fabulous week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!
