Link Love: Great Gift Ideas and some thoughts on Willpower

A highlight reel of what's going on in my life and a collection of useful links and information for the creatives amongst us - Angie Wilson at www.gnomeangel.com

Welcome to the beginning of a new week of possibilities! The Little Man and I are having fun just hanging out together and enjoying being a little partnership of two. Although I’m very grateful for the technology available to us! FaceTime has been such a saviour in helping us to keep connected across the globe. It blows my mind to think that there was a time when people would have had to wait months (even years) to know that their loved ones were ok.

I’m taking some time to make some things for others at the moment because I got so swamped throughout the year that I didn’t have time to make things when I wanted to so I figure if I just do a couple of things each month and put them away I shouldn’t be caught off guard. ย I’m addicted to making the 1 Hour Basket (which I shared the link to last week). I’ve made so many lately and I’m loving each new combination. I think I will find it hard to part with them (I’ve already decided I’m keeping the version pictured made with Cotton + Steel Flock and copper vinyl.)

I’ve beenย thinking about the message in this blog post (“Two Questions to Help You Resist Temptation“) for the past couple of days and I’m starting to see the merit in implementing those two little questions, so much so that I’ve printed them out and stuck them on the fridge and pantry doors! Willpower is one of those things that I’d like to get under control and while I’m pretty good once I get started I’m pretty crap at avoiding the things I know I shouldn’t be doing. But I’m working on changing that, one question at a time.

I hope you have a fabulous day today and get out and enjoy the sunshine where ever you are!

  1. I really recommend Gretchen Rubin’s book Better Than Before if you want to learn more about yourself and habits, willpower etc. It’s really a great read. Or listen – I got the audio book. Her website gretchenrubin.com is also full of great insights. Actually, I like everything she does. ๐Ÿ™‚
