Link Love: One More Sleep
One more sleep! Who am I kidding? There’s going to be very little sleep on my behalf tonight. When I do finally make it to bed I can almost guarantee I’ll be laying in bed mentally running through all the lists of things that I need to have packed, prepared and scheduled for our time away. I think we’re pretty much good-to-go, but you just know there’ll be something I’ve forgotten. (As long as it’s not my wallet like the last time I flew out of here!)
I’ve spent the past 2 weeks in a bubble of sewing. I don’t think I’ve ever sewn as much, or as quickly, as I have in the past two weeks. I’ve made:
- 9 – Noodlehead Wide Mouth Zipper Pouches
- 6 – Cashmerette Upton Dresses
- 5 – McCalls M6972 Men’s Shirts
- 4 – McCalls M6972 Boy’s Shirts
- 2 – Wet Bags
- 1 – Totes Amazeballs Tote from my book Fussy Cutters Club
- 1 – Noodlehead Range Backpack
- 1 – Noodlehead Redwood Tote
The sense of satisfaction that I have gotten from completing this mammoth to-do list of projects is really addictive. I’ve found a spark to my productivity that I don’t think I’ve ever had. I’ve been laser focused and really enjoying the process. I think after making 700+ Kinship Blocks I needed something else to revive me. (If you’re keen to see everything I made be sure to follow me on Instagram for sneak peeks. I’ll also be sharing detailed photos and information on how I did everything when I’m back from our adventure so you can make them too!)
We still haven’t told the Little Man that he’s going to Disneyland for a week. I think that’s probably my biggest achievement for the past few weeks. I can’t wait to see his face when we pull up to the Disneyland Hotel. I can’t wait to just spend a week with the boys where there’s no work, there’s no school commitments and there’s no pressure to do anything. It’s going to be luxury.
If I don’t get off this computer we won’t be going anywhere, so I’m off to pack some more and clean the house. Wishing you a fabulous week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!
