MEET QUILT JANE
2. What is it that you love about being a quilter?
It’s an art that combines fun, intellectual stimulation and giving. You get to meet the most wonderful, creative and fascinating people who all share your passion.
3. What lead you to being a pattern designer?
It was a natural progression in my quilt making process. I made quilts that other quilters wanted to make so I started the task of documenting my thoughts and ideas into usable patterns. It’s not an easy skill to acquire so I am always learning how to make my patterns more user friendly.
4. What gives you the most joy from creating and sharing your patterns?
I love when people have fun making my blocks or quilts and they post pictures on social media. It gives me great pleasure to know that someone chose my block to make something for someone they love.

Jane was one of the very first quilters I found online when starting to quilt myself, and it was from her that I started my stash – both purchasing a Flurry layer cake (from which my love for Kate Spain only grew and grew!) and from winning a giveaway on her blog. She has always been a huge inspiration and someone I shall forever be grateful for helping me start this most amazing journey!!

Jane is such a lovely, giving person – just as you’ve said. I’m lucky enough to have her living around the corner! I really love her use of colour – she is so brave and pulls off all sorts of colour schemes that I would never think to try. I’m really looking forward to her book collation, which is coming out early next year!
