MEET QUILT JANE

5. What are you most proud of from your quilting experience?
When someone I have shared my quilting knowledge with goes on to love the craft as much as I do.
6. Whatโs the one piece of advice about quilting that all new quilters should know?
Take a deep breath and slow down. Take time to be accurate in your cutting and sewing. It makes piecing so much easier and you can tackle any challenging block, even curves.

7. Whoโs the quilter(s) that inspire you at the moment?
These types of questions are very difficult to answer as in reality it is every quilter that posts on social media, shares their work in our quilting group or displays their work in a quilt show or as a sample in a booth. The quilting world is brimming with talented quilters who astound me with their originality and passion for everything they make.

Thanks Angie and Jane. I am really enjoying getting to know these amazing quilters better. I love to see all the work on IG and fun updates on FB but your posts are terrific way to understand their passion and admire their work.
Jane was one of the very first quilters I found online when starting to quilt myself, and it was from her that I started my stash – both purchasing a Flurry layer cake (from which my love for Kate Spain only grew and grew!) and from winning a giveaway on her blog. She has always been a huge inspiration and someone I shall forever be grateful for helping me start this most amazing journey!!
Thank you Alyce. You are an inspiration to me. I love following your adventures in Japan and watching the progress of your beautiful quilting projects.
Jane is such a lovely, giving person – just as you’ve said. I’m lucky enough to have her living around the corner! I really love her use of colour – she is so brave and pulls off all sorts of colour schemes that I would never think to try. I’m really looking forward to her book collation, which is coming out early next year!
I am the lucky one having such a lovely and talented person living close by. I am blown away by your designs.
