The November Sew Sampler from Fat Quarter Shop arrived this week (totally Australia Post and not Fat Quarter Shop’s doing!) and it’s a cracker. It only dawned on me this month as I was greedily pawing my way through the box; Fat Quarter Shop are stocking my work space with the fundamentals all concealed in the fun of a surprise box. It’s genius! Normally we all think of sewing needles as boring, but to do a good job they’re essential. To include them in amongst the shiny of new fabric, new patterns and new notions is brilliant.

I know I was skeptical the first month about these boxes, but Fat Quarter Shop are now starting to make me look like a dope. These are a really great gift if you’re look to help someone who’s just starting out or maybe you want to build the foundation of your sewing room. Not only will you get the supplies you need, but you’ll also get some super cute things as well (I’m particularly smitten with the desk calendar in this month’s box.) But that’s enough from me, want to see what’s in the box?

This month’s Sew Sampler contains the following:

You’ll also find a quilt block recipe pattern in your box for 8″, 12″ and 16″ blocks.
