WINNERS & A YEAR OF LOVELY FINISHES MARCH EDITION

Hazel Hedgehog Quilt-a-Long on GnomeAngel.com. Using Elzabeth Hartman's Hazel Hedgehog pattern to make your own hedgehog themed quilt project.

After 4 weeks of fun and sharing of Hazel Hedgehog’s around the world it’s time to announce the 2 winners of the Hazel Hedgehog Quilt-a-Long. But before we get to that (evil aren’t I!) I’m going to declare which project I will get done this month as part of A Lovely Year of Finishes.

At the beginning of the year I went a bit nuts and joined all these swaps (because I have so much free time) and now the chickens are coming home to roost and I have a mountain of swap sewing to do. So this month I’m crossing off my Rainbow Mini Swap project.

My partner somewhat handily had my The Feather Beast; Slayed quilt in their inspiration mosaic so the decision about what to make them was pretty easy.

I’ve made a start and pulled the fabrics for the project, found the pattern and the handy acrylic templates. So now I just need to make the time to get it finished. I’m not really sure what layout or plan I’m going to go with, but I’m hoping however it ends up my partner will like it.

So, that’s my plan for my March A Lovely Year of Finishes project, now I’m sure what you’d really like to know about is who the Hazel Hedgehog Quilt-a-Long winners are….

<drum roll>

The winner of the $25 Gotham Quilts voucher is….@sewcutebylindsay

The winner of the $25 Cotton Factory voucher is… Beausoleil Quilts

Congratulations and I will be in touch via email later today to let you know how to claim your prizes.

Thank you so much to everyone who entered and the fabulous bloggers who helped spread the word and made some amazing Hedgehog inspired projects. I hope you all love your Hazels as much as I love mine.

  3. Thank you so much for hosting the QAL. I am still working on Hazel and friends, but it was fun to see what everyone else made.

  4. How exciting. Thanks so much for holding the Quilt Along. It was the push I needed to start it and then get it finished promptly. I love my little quilt, and it will be on its way from New Zealand to Australia today for a little Kiwi-Aussie baby girl.
