Link Love: Welcome to June
Do you ever get in those moods where all the little niggling jobs you’ve had on your to-do list suddenly need to be done? That was me last week. I don’t know what got into me but it became my mission to get the house back in order. I spent a very satisfying couple of hours going through and cleaning out our kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer. The boys helped out along the way which lead to an immensely fun game of “what’s the oldest use by date you can find”. The winner was August 2005 for some herbs hiding in the cupboard. There’s something so satisfying about looking in our cupboards and them being organised and clean.
I also sat down on the weekend and did up our meal plan for the week. Our house always runs so much smoother when we’ve got the meals side of things sorted. We’ve settled on a meal plan and I’m actually really looking forward to doing the cooking this week. That’s a feeling that hasn’t been seen in these parts for awhile! I’m also on a mission to add things to the kiddo’s lunch box that he’ll actually eat and not just take on an adventure with him to school and back. Nothing drives me bonkers more than wasted food.
This week my mission is to give our bathrooms a good going over. I want to use the time that the kid’s at school to do a once over for mold and get rid of all the random stuff in our bathroom cupboards. Once that’s done I’m tackling our laundry and the Tupperware cupboard. We have accumulated so much junk in this house and I’m tired of living with it. I did a big cull of my studio space a couple of months ago, but I can feel another one coming on. I’m also eyeing off the toy boxes.
