Link Love: Change is as good...

Whoa nelly, last week was massive! In one week we moved the kiddo from the school he’s been at since Preschool to a new, bigger school that has more support for kids who need it. I started doing more things outside the house in an effort to not be so isolated. We went and saw our talented cousin play in the Basketball Nationals. We had a play date. Raylee and I did our first Facebook Live event. I sewed! And, in no small feat, Raylee and I started organising our new business venture together: sewing retreats!

It’s been huge and so good. I’d forgotten how good it feels to be productive. I’ve still got so much to catch up on from last year, but I’m slowly finding my rhythm and work is getting done. I feeling in control of our lives again and it’s great. I know that things are going to “pop” up but you know what, I feel like I’m less focused on what could go wrong, or hasn’t gone to plan, and I’m more focused on just enjoying where we’re at and chipping away on the big ticket item.

For now I’m off to finish some of the administration tasks that have been piling up while I sewed. I’m excited about the week ahead and I hop you are too! Wishing you a week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!

If you’d like to have your work shared please reply to this email with 1 photo of your work made during one of my events, from one of my patterns or from my book. Make sure the image is well lit and clearly shows your work so people can truly appreciate your handy work. Eastwood Patchwork Quilters Exhibition will be held on the first weekend in May, 2^nd to 5^th May 2019 at Brush Farm House Lawson Street Eastwood, 10.00am to 4.00pm each day. An amazing range of quilts will be on exhibition, together with a well-stocked handicraft stall. The marquee will provide covered comfort for the delicious morning and afternoon teas from the café. There will be various vendors on site with the latest quilting supplies.
