Link Love: Down for the Count
Well, that was a week and a half! Our little guy turned 7 last week and we spent the week getting ready to celebrate, celebrating and then recovering from celebrating. I am back in the throes of illness with my cough returning and now I think I might actually have the flu. Last week I found out the true meaning of motherly love when I forced myself out of bed to bake 4 dozen cupcakes, 2 dozen chocolate crackles and prepare party food for 50+ adults and kids. Why is it always the way that we get sick when we can least afford it?
On the positive side I managed to make it through party set up, party and party aftermath before collapsing back into bed and spending all Sunday curled up sleeping and trying to get my fluids up. I feel marginally better today, but after a very stern talking to from Hubby I’m now taking everything off my plate that is non-essential so that I can be fighting fit for my 2 trunk shows later this week. I’ve cancelled my attendance at Bible Study, the P+C meeting, a day trip to Sydney for the Quilt & Craft Fair and all my studio work. Hubby is posting orders and dealing with essential emails after he gets home from work and I’m going to do nothing but rest, drink water, take my medications and force myself to let my body heal.
As a small business owner it’s crippling when you’re unwell. If I don’t do it, it doesn’t get done. But I’ve learned the hard way that if I keep forcing myself it’ll just make it worse and have a bigger impact on things in the long run. I’ve had this cough and cold now since the start of May and I need it gone. So enough whinging, here’s this week’s links and love and I’m off to bed. Wishing you a week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!

I will be appearing at the following stores in June to help inspire, encourage and help you pull together your supplies for #100Days100Blocks2019:

- Friday 21 June @ 5:30pm – Addicted 2 Fabric. Call (02) 6282 4494 to book your spot.
I’ll be demonstrating the range of templates and rulers by From Marti Michell Perfect Patchwork Templates and Rulers. Nibbles will be provided at both events and I’ll be giving away prizes to those that attend. RSVPing is essential. โ

TICKETS CLOSE JUNE 30! We’ve been blown away by the response to our first quilting retreat: Camp Sewcial. If you’re thinking about coming don’t wait to secure your spot. We’d hate for you to miss out!ย Find out more by clicking here.

I hope you feel better soon Angie. Take care. There may be some value in getting tested just know it was really influenza. There are quite a few other viral pathogens causing nasty upper respiratory tract infections at the moment.
