Link Love: Released into the Wild

Well it’s here, the big countdown to this year’s #100Days100Blocks2019 is kicking off. I’ve been working towards this date all year and now that it’s here I thought I’d be able to breathe out, but I’m still inhaling. Kinship went to print this week, which is a massive milestone. Self-publishing this book/pattern has been such a major achievement for us. It’s been so rewarding and such a big learning curve – I wouldn’t change it for the world.

It’s just the first of what I hope will be many – not just for us, but for others as well. We’ve got a dream to become a boutique pattern/book imprint and this is just the first step in making that dream a reality. We’ve got more patterns to come, and more big patterns (books) in the works. I feel like it’s a big snowball that’s at the top of a mountain cliff and it’s about to tip over into becoming an avalanche.

We’re still finalising things to help get the pattern into LQS’s both here and internationally. We’re reaching out and trying to work with stores, both online and bricks-and-mortar, to help them capitalise on connecting with their community through this book. It’s a huge undertaking and I’m so energised about seeing it come to life.

Anyways, enough rabbiting on about all that. I feel like the person who’s just come back from a fabulous holiday and wants to show everyone the slides of the trip. You’re gonna want to smother me with a fat quarter if I keep this up! So, I’ll sign off and get back to sewing! Wishing you a week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!

I love seeing the quilts and projects that are made during my sew-alongs or from my book and I’ve decided I’m going to start sharing them with you all so that you can see the amazing work being done within this fabulous creative community. If you’d like to have your work shared please reply to this email with 1 photo of your work made during one of my events, from one of my patterns or from my book.
