Link Love: September days

For those of us that live in the southern hemisphere we’re now in Spring! Yay! This is my favourite time of year. I love it when the days start to get longer, the cherry blossoms bloom and I can start wearing shorts again. We had a super busy week last week with school commitments, work commitments and family commitments. It’s been a busy couple of weeks and it’s been great. The year seems to be building a momentum and hurtling us towards 2020. We’ve now got less than 50 sleeps until we jet off to Houston and Disneyland. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t become a little obsessed with Disneyland lately. I’ve been watching heaps of videos about how to make the most of our time there and planning some Disney inspired sewing for our trip. I am also officially addicted to the idea of pin trading while there. (I may need an intervention!)

The Little Man had book week last month and he went at the midnight cat from “John Brown, Rose and the Midnight Cat“. It’s funny how life cycles back… at my Year 1 book week way back in 1983 I went dressed as Sylvester the cat, and then our little guy at his Year 1 book week went as the midnight cat. Seems it’s a family tradition to go as a black cat to book week!

I wish I could say I made his costume but I didn’t. It’s a purchased one and it’s pretty amazing. I’m going to pack it for our trip just in case he wants to dress up for Disney’s Halloween Party. Although I suspect it might be too hot for him to spend a big chunk of time in it. He is super cute though…

Well, best I get on with doing. I hope you’re having a fabulous day where ever you are in the world! Wishing you a week filled with love, laughter and much fabric fondling!
