Colorblock LOVE Sew-along

Sam Hunter, of Hunter’s Design Studio, released her Colorblock LOVE Quilt Pattern a couple of month’s ago and I knew the minute I saw it that I wanted to make it. It’s bold and goes together super quickly to make a decent size throw quilt.

While I was preparing my pieces I realised that the Kinship: 100 Block Fusion Sampler blocks would fit nicely into the piecing for the letters. I contacted Sam and a plan was hatched. With so many people finishing up #100Days100Blocks2019 it seems like a great time to give everyone some motivation to get their blocks into a quilt top.

Both Sam and I have made versions using the Kinship blocks and they look completely different and equally as fabulous. I’ve gone for a fussy cut mix and Sam’s used a sublime selection of solids. I can’t wait to share them both with you.

The event kicks off 15 September and we’ll be walking you through all you need to get the blocks made into a quilt top. Don’t worry if you don’t want to use the Kinship blocks, you can make the quilt as per the pattern. Sam has some great options for colour placement and a bonus foundation paper pieced mini version for those who want to sew something a little smaller.
