MEET SAMELIA’S MUM

Do you know how there’s some quilters that are like the U2 of the quilting world, punching out hit after hit and never seeming to slow down, that’s how I think about Anorina of Samelia’s Mum. I don’t know how she does it.

I first heard of Anorina through the Kidspot Voices program. (I can’t even remember what year it was, I think 2011?!?) I went and read her blog and was just blown away by how prolific she was and how she just seemed to effortless produce quality every time.  I wasn’t even really a quilter at that stage, but her use of bright, fresh, contemporary fabrics really spoke to me and made me have my own “When Harry Met Sally” moment. (I’ll have what she’s having!)

Here was someone having fun and sharing that fun with the creative community.

I’m really happy to say that over the past few months I’m getting to know Anorina a bit better and I’m really looking forward to meeting her in the coming weeks. In the meantime however, I’m totally loving getting to know her a bit better through her answers. I hope you do to!
