I kinda of don’t want to tell you all this because I want to keep all the goodies to myself but… tomorrow Target are having a MASSIVE (and I mean MASSIVE!!!) home wares sale.  As my Dad would say, it’s going to be more exciting than when the fertilizer truck tipped over in the local creek!

(I told you it was going to be MASSIVE!)

Having known that the sale was coming I’ve put together a list of my Top 20 (I narrowed it down from 100!) things that I simply must call my own.

#20 Ching-He Huang Soy Sauce Pot – we both really love soy sauce with our food in this house and I use it a lot in my cooking so this stylish little pot would come in very handy. I’m totally loving this new range from the Target/Ching-He Huang collaboration.

#19 Ching-He Huang Pinch Bowls Set – Another one from the Target/Ching-He Huang collaboration. I love these bowls (I’m a sucker for bowls at the best of times). Not only would they make cute little pinch pots on your dinner table when entertaining, but they’re just the right size to work as jewelry bowls on your dresser as well. Or if jewelry isn’t your think they make a great place to store thread, pins, washi or paperclips. The colours are bright and bold and they have the same symbol that’s on the Ching-He Huang Soy Sauce Pot on the bottom of the bowl in coordinating colours.

#18 Horizon Quilt Cover Set – This great Quilt Cover set is from the Target Essentials line and is crazy affordable at the best of times.  I’m totally crushing on this combination of blues – it’s a great way to get a bit of a beach or nautical theme happening with out having it go too over the top.

#17 Mirage Tealight Candle Holder – I love the colour of this tealight and can totally see a couple of these on our bedside tables to tie in with the Horizon Quilt Cover Set from Target Essentials.  I love the softness that the glass treatment gives the colour used in this glass, it’s like they’ve managed to capture water in glass.

#16 Single Cupcake Stand With Lid – I’m in love with the crazy cute terrariums that have been popping up all over the place for the past 12 months and I’ve been dying to try making one of my own.  This great little Cupcake Stand with Lid would be perfect.  I can just see it with some tiny mushrooms and a little deer on the inside.  Or maybe I’ll make one with a dinosaur in it for the boys… Totally going to have to buy more than one of these! Worse case, if the terrarium bombs I’ll at least have something funky to display my cupcake in that nano second before I devour it!

#15 Noah Quilt Cover Set – If you ever visit our house you’d be forgiven for thinking I have some weird obsession with birds. Seriously, there’s a lot of art prints in our house that have birds in them.  One of my favourite prints actually just has three feathers in it.  I love feathers and this quilt is a great modern way to incorporate that trend into your house. I love the cool grey colour and the coordinating pillows are awesome as well.

#14 Set of 2 A – Z Bookends – It’s a simple fact, you can never have too many bookends in a house full of books. And our house is full of books.  I love the berry colour of these – I notice with glee it seems to be the Target trend in home wares, bedding and home decor for this coming season.

#13 Green Bubble Jug – I have a coloured glass collection that is struggling to get it’s feet.  In my head I have a vision of a long line of coloured glass that forms a rainbow along the top of our kitchen cabinets.  I’m in desperate need of some green, so this Green Bubble Jug would be a great addition.  Not only is it totally functional and practical – I can use it as a vase when HUBBY decides to spoil me with a surprise arrangement of flowers (hint, hint).

#12 Bird Cloche With Glass Plate 20.5cm – Ok, if you remember why I wanted theSingle Cupcake Stand With Lid then you’ll know exactly what I plan to do with this. The little bird detail will tie in nicely with my woodland theme (maybe not so much the dinosaur theme… although maybe the boys will think this is a pterodactyl?)

#11 Lotus Flower Tealight Candle Holder – Ultramarine – You can never have too many candles scattered around you house (only when you have a little tacker in your midst you might want to make sure they’re safely out of reach).  I love the soft blue hue on thisLotus Flower Tealight Candle Holder.  It would also look great combined with the Mirage Tealight Candle Holder and theHorizon Quilt Cover Set from Target Essentials.

#10 Marseille Purple Glass Tumbler – Again, another coloured glass piece (what can I say, I’m like a bower bird). I love the detail, the colour and the fact that I think these would be awesome to turn into a candle.  Could you imagine the light just flickering through the pattern and colour, it would look amazing.  Totally getting a set!

#9 Hugo Quilt Cover Set – Ok, this quilt from the Target Essentials bedding range is totally playing into my love of quilts (tell me I’m not the only one that thinks this would make an awesome quilt pattern) and my crush on gold.  I love it, I love it, I love it… I’ll take 2!

#8 Pirate Adventure Quilt Cover Set – I know the little fella is still in his cot (and hasn’t turned 1 yet) but I just know that when he does make the move into his big boy bed he’ll want it festooned with pirates. I die for this quilt set. I just love the bold colour, the great use of pattern and it’s got PIRATES ON IT!  Did I mention is comes in a double?

#7 Wooden Photo Frame 20.3 x 25.4cm – White – As previously mentioned I have a bit of a thing for displaying art in our house. I’m a huge fan of the simple white frames and our house is covered in them.  They’re really inexpensive and a great way to add some quick impact to your walls.  I buy the frame and then take the frame and print to a framer to get them to mat the picture and put it in the frame.  It’s usually costs about a third of the price of having them professionally framed and looks just as great.  It also means that ‘s not that big a deal if you decide you don’t like the prints any more and want to shake up the look of a room.

#6 Wood + Aluminum Windchime – I love the sound of a windchime (I’m not so sure the neighbours do…) and one of the first things on my “to buy” list when we moved in to our new house was a windchime for our deck. I love the sleek, contemporary lines of this one and the combination of materials is great as well.  I can’t wait to hear it tinkling away in the breeze.

#5 Bellini Chain Hanging Lantern – I love candles and these would look amazeballs on our deck. The fact that they can be hung up and out of the way of little hands is great.  Not only that, but because you don’t have to fasten them to one spot it means you can more them around as you need to.  You could have them all clustered about your dining table for a meal and then move them out to the edges of the deck when you just want some “mood” lighting… you know, when you want to chill and listen to the soothing sounds of a windchime.

#4 Marrakesh Peacock Dinner Plate – I adore (adore!) this colour. Love it! I have noticed myself adding more and more of this colour to my fabric selection.  I’ve fondled these plates on my last trip into Target (I was loitering in the home wares section dreaming of a total house make over…) and they’re wonderful.  They have a nice weight to them and the pattern on them is sublime (this picture truly doesn’t do it justice).  I have a white dinner set that I like to spice up with seasonal colour every once and awhile and these plates would make an awesome punch of spice!

#3 Marrakesh Plum 18cm Bowl – It comes in a bowl pattern as well! I need a set of these bowls as well. And this berry colour is the bombdiggidy (do the kids still say that?).  I can’t wait to see more of this Plum colour creeping into our homes, it’s wonderful.

#2 Swirl Cake Mould – I love these bundt pans. Love them. As well as my big line of coloured glass I imagine having an extensive collection of bundt pans and with the great prices of Target home wares that dream may just come true.

#1 Oxo Soft Works Nylon Spoon – Not what you thought would be number 1 is it… well let me just tell you this – we need cooking spoons.  I don’t know what happened, but somewhere along the line we have managed to lose, break or teleport to another diminsion all of our good cooking spoons. Sure a cooking spoon isn’t sexy (well, those curves are kind of Jessica Rabbit…) but they’re practical and at the end of the day I’d rather non-sexy practical then using my hands to serve up a hot meal!

That’s my Top 20! I’m totally psyched for this sale. I need a little pre-winter pick me up and this will be just the ticket.  There’s nothing like picking up some great home wares, bedding or home decor to make you feel all warm and fuzzy.
