Sue Daley Round We Go Sew-along Version 4 of Block 3

It’s time for another version of block #3 and this one is the last one for this block type, next week we move on to Block 4. This is an all Lizzy House block – I couldn’t resist using some of my favourite fabrics in this block. I like to think this is a love triangle. Actually I think Bec (of Skyberries) and I have had this conversation before about the whole backstory of this print. The Queen is having an affair with the lute player because she’s been forced to marry the much older King. Yeah, I know – don’t worry I won’t quit my day job to go write chick lit any time soon. Don’t forget to check out the hashtag #RoundWeGoSAL on Instagram for some more inspiration.

Sue Daley Assembly for Block 3

The team at Sue Daley Designs have put together this helpful video that shows how they glue the pieces for assembly and then the order in which they are assembled.

We’ll be sharing these videos at the start of each new block release to help you get the most of your EPP adventure!

If you have any questions please leave a comment below and I’ll do my best to answer. Don’t forget to check out YouTube as well, there’s heaps of tutorials on line for English Paper Piecing.

Weekly Task

Each week I’ll ask you to post a photo of one of that month’s blocks. This means 2 things:

  1. You can join the event at any time prior to the 1 December (in your timezone) and still be eligible for November’s prize if you meet the criteria, and
  2. You can self pace until the 1 December.

I’ve decided to work it this way to help people who are coming late o the event and to give you a little more wiggle room when it comes to life getting in the way.

Prizes will be allocated monthly so you can join at the beginning of every month if you want to be in the prize pool.

Now I bet you’re wondering how you’ll go about winning a prize, well it’s simple.

To win an monthly prize:

  1. Post 4 photos of the monthly block type per week,
  2. Include all the requirements for eligibility (we’ll go into more detail about this in a minute).

Monthly prize winners will be announced on the Friday following the end of a month.

To win the grand prize:

  1. Post a photo of your finished quilt top between 12:01am 1 September 2018 – 11:59pm 30 September 2018 in your timezone,
  2. Include all the requirements for eligibility (we’ll go into more detail about this in a minute).

Your quilt top can be quilted, but it’s not a requirement for prize eligibility.

A Word about Block Type

You only need to post 4 photos of the monthly block types between the start and end date. This means that you’ll end up with 4 individual photos at the end of the month of the four blocks you’ve made that month. Each month will have one block type and you can see what they’ll be by clicking here.

Each Friday AEST I’ll post my weekly block to my blog and social media to act as a reminder for you to get yours in. You’ll have from 12:01am 1st of the Month to 11:59pm Last Day of the Month to post your four blocks. On the months where there’s 5 weeks in a month we’ll do something a little special.

Eligibility Requirements

To enter the prize pool it’s really simple. All you have to do is:

  1. Use the event hashtag on your photos (the hashtag is #RoundWeGoSAL)
  2. Follow the following Instagram accounts:

  1. I keep meaning to leave a comment! I follow your blog (and 300 or 400 others) via bloglovin. Usually when a new blog post comes up there is a photo that sort of draws you in, you click and then you’re reading a bloglovin version of the blog. Your blog recently doesn’t have any photos on bloglovin! I don’t know if this is beyond your control but it’s a shame. X

    • Hi Emily! Thanks so much for letting me know. I don’t know why but when I switched to a new blog theme a couple of months ago (I needed extra functionality) Bloglovin’ started having issues with displaying the feature image. I’ve put in a ticket to see if they can help me get it sorted, but until then there’s not much I can do to make it work. It’s very frustrating. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for taking the time to let me know! ❤️
