GnomeAngel Version Block 7: Liberty Square
I made a pivot on this one and changed up the background. As much as I was loving the stripes the eye twitch that block five gave me wasn’t worth repeating. I swapped out the stripes for the dots and I’m just loving it. I also love how this block has the feel of an old school television.
Technique Used: I’m making mine with the From Marti Michell Perfect Patchwork Templates. I love this method because it makes it so much easier for me to sew without engaging my brain AND I can fussy cut without having to math. (Yay!)
Fabrics: I’m using all Tula Pink in a colour wash to match the Slash layout (rainbow). For the ‘background’ on the blocks I’m using the Tula Pink Tent Stripe from Graywork.

The stripy goodness continues with this zombie looking squirrel. Still loving the stripes and still no closer to a decision on the setting squares.

The block is bananas. I am so excited to have been able to include some of my all time favourite Tula fabric in this quilt.

Block 5
This is the block that broke me when it came to fussy cutting the stripes. Oh boy, those angle cuts. This is a case of the right tool for the right job – I should have followed Quiet Play’s tutorial on FPP with angles!

Block 6
Prince Charming may be a frog, but he still looks great in this block. The half way point and I’m loving how these blocks are looking altogether.
