Who’s the creative(s) that inspire you at the moment?
Too many to name so here are a few – The Hilltop Hoods, Ed Sheeran, Illy, 360 (all music), The Design Files, Pattern and Print Blog, Helen Dardik, Pete Cromer, Orla Kiely, Cotton and Steel, Inaluxe and the heap of clever crafters, illustrators and artists I follow on Instagram.
What creative challenges would you like to conquer in the next 12 months?
To get back into my art. I want to mix fabrics and paints on very big canvases!
What’s your 3 favourite creative projects that you’ve made that reflect who you are as a textile artist?
Because design is more my thing I would have to say my (personal) three favourite cat and vee designs would have to be our screen printed ‘Priscilla – Queen of the burbs’ cockatoo, ‘Stand out from the crowd’ Fabric panel and our latest screen printed ‘Eat your words’ placemat panels.
If you weren’t a textile artist, what other creative endeavour would you like to master?
Interior Designer……I think there is still time……(I can just see my husband developing an ‘eye twitch’…..)
Is there anything else that you would like to share with my readers?
I swear a lot and drink a lot of wine…..I think that is because I have young kids and a neurotic dog, plus I just love doing it, I’m sure it makes me a better mum!!!
