What gives you the most joy from being a part of Cat & Vee?
Working with and sharing this creative journey with my great + dear friend Vanita. It’s a lot of fun to bounce ideas back and forth, and to design and create gorgeous things together. We only live a street apart, and so lots of our cat&vee discussions are held while the kids are playing and the champagne is flowing! – how blessed are we!
What are you most proud of from your creative experience?
For our work to be recognised as ours, and to see our little business being recognised and slowly getting bigger.
What’s the one piece of advice about being creative that all creative types should know?
Spend time in your creative space every day – whether it’s sketching an idea, sorting out fabric scraps, tidying, sorting, or actually creating. Pottering about in your creative space helps to keep your ideas and inspiration happening.
Who’s the creative(s) that inspire you at the moment?
I love it when gorgeous creations include a bit of humour and fun. My long-time design-love-crush is Heather Ross. On instagram, I’m always loving Elnora (@elnorac), Monica (@happy_zombie), Jodie (@jodiericrac), Sonia (@dandelyne) and Rachel (@rachelwoodenspoon).
